World Robot Conference 2024 noteworthy for its focus on Humanoid Robots: check highlights

The World Robot Conference 2024 (WRC2024), started in Beijing from August 21 to 25, has once again showcased the latest advancements in robotics and artificial intelligence. This year’s conference has been particularly noteworthy for its focus on humanoid robots, with over 20 types on display, highlighting China’s growing prowess in this field.

The conference theme, “Robots for a Sustainable Future”, reflects the growing importance of robotics in addressing global challenges such as climate change, aging populations, and labor shortages. The event has attracted over 400 guests, including leading scientists, entrepreneurs, and academics from around the world.  169 global companies, including industry giants like ABB, Tesla, Kuka, and SMC, are participating, showcasing over 600 exhibits.

The 2024 WRC has undoubtedly reinforced Beijing’s status as a global hub for robotics innovation and underscored the rapid advancements being made in the field, particularly in the development of humanoid robots.

World Robot Conference 2024 highlights :

Focus on Humanoid Robots: The conference featured over 20 types of humanoid robots, reflecting China’s growing capabilities in this field. These robots demonstrated a wide range of functions, from copying human facial expressions to performing tasks in industrial settings.

Tiangong Humanoid Robot: Developed by the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Centre Company, “Tiangong” is a highly advanced humanoid robot capable of complex movements and interactions, demonstrating China’s progress in this field.

Walker S Lite Humanoid Robot: UBTECH’s Walker S Lite has begun operational trials in smart factories, marking a significant milestone as the first humanoid robot to complete full-process material handling tasks in an industrial setting in China.

ROPA Orthopedic Surgery Robot: The world’s first orthopedic surgery robot equipped with AI deep learning technology was also unveiled, highlighting advancements in medical robotics.
