Ocado, in partnership with Alcampo, has officially launched its first Customer Fulfillment Centre (CFC) in Spain. The CFC, located in San Fernando de Henares, Madrid, is now operational and fulfilling customer orders. This marks a significant step in their collaboration, bringing Ocado’s innovative technology and Alcampo’s retail expertise together to enhance the online grocery shopping experience in Spain.

Alcampo expects to deliver more than 70,000 orders per week (OPW) from the CFC to customers in Madrid and the wider region, with a delivery fleet powered by fully electric or hybrid vehicles.
The CFC is designed with sustainability in mind, incorporating energy-efficient features and utilizing renewable energy sources.
The CFC has created hundreds of new jobs in the Madrid region, contributing to the local economy.
Alcampo and Ocado plan to open more CFCs across Spain in the coming years, extending their reach and service capabilities.
